It is possible, I have heard people suggest it in the past. Some of the timid suggest that we shouldn't push too hard because management might just take their ball and go home. It is possible I suppose, I just don't see it unless they have been bluffing us for the last few years. As it is I wouldn't expect them to be able to organize a picnic lunch-much less a whole new certificate.

Is there a way to check to see how many other possible airline names are registered to MG and group?
I guess a trademark search might work?
It just seems that a play in the playbook would be start another airline and trade stock out as in the valuejet airtran move. Wouldn't that delay vector union issues?
Could that be why a lot of sim time may be needed?
Hope not - Hang in there and Good Luck.

Just one more embarrassment to add to the fire.
Allegiant CEO buys Las Vegas Boulevard wedding chapel - VEGAS INC
Look at the bright side, perhaps employees get a discount similar to the "dollar menu" onboard.

Supposedly a big base-realignment bid coming out on Monday, with quarterly updates thereafter...
And, another sizeable NH class in early Nov.

Why have a displacement/realignment bid in the middle of tons of newhire training and upgrades? Seems like every base has openings at this point.

I'm sure it's as well thought out as our growth plans when we purchased the 757s... or the Airbus... or Merlot... or opened GRR... or heard the FAA inspection was coming last year... or any of the last few bid results (the last had 3 revisions and still awarded more positions than advertised)....
