Over 10% no-show, had to call 55 pilots to get 36, no one in the Allegiant line at the job fair.
Think management is FINALLY getting the message?
Wait until the hiring really starts out there

It’s a well deserved. Well earned bad reputation g4 management has given itself. They still don’t care. Glad to hear the allegiant booth was lonely. Wish I could have been there to witness it myself, and whistle as I walked past.

Management still doesn't get it. Ask any of them and they will tell you "we have over 5000 applications" "people want to come here" and of course my favorite "lots of great things coming down the pipe, it's a great time to be an Allegiant pilot!"

Applied everywhere as soon as I dropped separation papers back in April...got the TBNT email from them last week (wasn't asked to interview). Was already hired elsewhere, so no hard feelings, but interesting, given the no-shows & the comments I've read here.

As far as the new hire class goes, I was one of the 4 that interviewed last friday. All of us are regional guys, I was probably the lowest time guy with over 4k turbine. I also have a DC-9 type and Im from PIE. All 4 of us were from florida or living there now.
All of us had gotten a call on Wednesday for an interview Friday morning. One of the Interviewees has his wife in the 8/8 class. He got word from her that there were 4 open slot for the class that would start in seven days. I was thinking "great! we are all hired as long as we dont screw it up" The Sim portion for my interview was OK, not perfect but I left the room thinking that I had the job.
The guy with the wife in the class and I exchanged numbers and we talked for the next few days. We were surprised when they didnt let us know by the end of the day Friday. So when Monday rolled around and still no news, we started to get antsy. Nobody had contacted us yet to let us know either YES or NO. I called a few times tuesday and left a message and finally got ahold of someone wednesday to be told that I didnt get it and could re-apply in 6 months. The guy with the wife in the class didnt get the job either. he found out tuesday night.
My question is this: If you call me last minute, know my resume, I do well on the interview and you need pilots, why didn't I (we) get the job?
It sounds like none of us got the job if there were still 4 open spots in the class.
Allegiant is a step up from my current regional company. My 8 year FO pay is still well below G4s starting pay.

It may seem that way just by looking at the pay rates, but when you factor in the complete lack of work rules which bring in soft pay, it will be a pay cut. It may not seem like it now, but you received a Christmas gift in August.
