They were pretty clear in the last recurrent that they have heard about merger rumors AGAIN and this is not the case--AGAIN.
Personally I don't know why these rumors keep popping up. Seems to happen every couple of years.
The big announcement is about rebranding. There were rumors about merging before the last "Travel Is Our Deal" rebranding and paint scheme.

Last couple of times I called dispatch to leave the gate early and have been transferred to station ops for approval. When did dispatch lose this authority?
