This should be interesting: 8 years of screwing around and now Republic wants a deal. Must be their stock plummeting to less than a quarter of its value in a year BECAUSE OF PILOT SHORTAGES. Best of luck to the Republic guys and my former colleagues at Allegiant.
I think that the more relevant point is that Allegiant management needs to pay close attention to what Ford and Harrison's advice has done to Republic.

F'n H's tactics created such a toxic environment, such mistrust that It's highly unlikely that Republic's pilots will ever vote yes on anything other than a mind-blowing TA unless the CEO is replaced.

ouch - Republic stock price has fallen a lot in past 6 months, major shareholders probably screaming at company management to do something. That news article said starting pilot pay at Republic was about $22,000. That works out to around $18 per hour before taxes, if they get 100 hours per month. And of course they also spend non-flight time related to the job. (or is that bad math??)

I've talked to more than one parking valet in Las Vegas that makes considerable more than that, just parking cars for people.

Good point.....I've always said you won't see MG's signature on a pilot contract at Allegiant. I anticipate a management change, a merger, or a very long strike.

I disagree.... With that logic, we would still have a $79 an hour Captain rate.

We'll get a contract with MG at the helm. He can't afford to let us strike long.

I do have a question though... If we've TA'd all non economic sections as SH's email said, why has the union not said the same?

Question from an outsider, not really relevant to the contract discussion. More of a curiosity, but what is the average flight time people are doing a month at Allegaint these days?

Last I knew, depending on the month and base, 70-110 hours per month.

Depends on the base and the month.

I've averaged about 78 hours a month since Ive been here, but I've sat very little RSV. There are no requirements to call RSVs in reverse seniority here and as a result things here are very balanced. Don't expect to go over guarantee if your on RSV.

FWIW, here in FL the company works me pretty hard so I embrace the slow months.

How long after a phone interview does it usually take to find out if you have been selected to go further into the interview process? Thanks.

For me it was about 2 hours (back in April) but I have heard up to about a week at the most I think.
