Thanks, do you know if you will know the aircraft before class starts? Makes a big difference to get on the wrong fleet with a non commutable airline.

To be honest, I'm not sure. My best guess is you won't know until class starts how many slots there will be in each aircraft. Then your class will bid on the open slots. Perhaps someone hired within the last year would know better if you know before training. I am not in the training department, nor do I talk to anyone that is. So I am not sure what the upcoming classes will be getting.

First two classes in Jul and Aug will be a split of AB and 80. Possibility of 75s later in the year. The older you are, the better your chances...if you have any other questions, PM me if you want.

Was told, at my interview, there are 6 75 spots in the 8/3 class.

That data is predicated on info from "Revision 3" and probably should be considered erroneous.

All's I know is we're short-staffed in the 80s...CAs are being called-in to jerk gear quite often!
Oh, don't forget the AVL 80 base!

Heard that rumor a lot. What does August 1st have to do with anything? Is that the time the six month training lookback of right seat qualification starts to end?

If safety is our primary goal and this is a safety decision, then why is every reserve captain I know flying several trips this month as an FO? If it's not safe in August then it's not safe now.
