I have a phone interview coming up and was hoping you guys could help me out here. Currently a regional f/o commuting but live in Florida and was wondering what the most junior bases are and what a new hire could expect? I have read a lot of the forums and I understand you guys are displeased with management but I'm currently looking for something better than a regional. Thanks in advance.
Good luck! I was a commuting regional guy and now I am home every night and my family loves it.

Don’t get fooled by the home every night crowd. Many pilots have been tdy’d endlessly. Tdy here is a nightmare. Being junior in florida is horrible. Crew services treats the state as if its one city. It is very doubtful you will be home every night.
While you may very well do fine in new hire training, you will be surprised at how disorganized it is. Our training department was actually shut down by the FAA for a while, because it’s so screwed up. Like everything else around here, it’s on the cheap. Profits for today, the he!! with tomorrow. You will be embarrassed to walk past your passengers when you come to work.
Our new coo is a piece of work. A lying, pilot hating sack of crap like the rest of our management. A tip; how can you tell when a g4 management person is lying to you? Their lips will be moving.

If you can self study & have solid flying skills you can get through NH Training - it is improving as of my last recurrent. They have some good instructors that do care. (Fire away! But, I did see, first hand, a BIG improvement).
AB over MD80. The summers in the 80 are challenging.

Do you know what aircraft you are getting assigned before you show up?
Could someone post a breakdown of which aircraft in which bases? I know it was posted a while ago but not sure if they changed.

Hi everyone.
So, after reading through the vast majority of the 295 pages of this thread, I'm still not entirely sure how the basing works at Allegiant. People (not on reserve) were home every night, and now they are not? Or, is that incorrect? How does TDY work?![Confused](https://www.airlinepilotforums.com/images/smilies/confused.gif)
I've read through this thread over large, spread out periods of time.
Thanks, and clear skies.

"Hey, Mr. Colonials? Yeah ahhh, you are getting shipped off to LAX, May 31-September 15. Single days off, no chance to commute home. You'll have a microwave and mini fridge. But hey, these are good problems to have, all is well!"
