What does Allegiant look for in terms of qualifications. TT/TPIC, 121 or part 135. What's the ratio like between civil and military folks that get hired there? Thanks, would appreciate the info.

I can't speak to the company mins, but I'm sure they are on the hiring page or application... If you don't know, it means you have not done enough research to apply.

I can tell you that the new hires have been trending about 25% mil, 50% regionals (of which 50% are typically captains), and 25% OAL/Corporate/Furloughed folks.

Seems to me that either mil or 121 or some combination thereof would be your best bet.

Good gawd man..... .the pilots on here describe a hot mess that is ready to strike and you want to jump onboard.

It's the starry eyed lust of the uniformed that allow ALG mgmt to keep finding gullible new beef to keep the operation churning along.

Or it COULD be folks who see the potential of this airline and realize that if you get a good contract, Allegiant could be a great place to work...

A contract alone ain't gonna make Allegiant a great place to work. It'll take new management with ethics and integrity who can bring a different approach to how business is conducted and people are treated. Otherwise it's still a get rich scheme
where corners are cut everywhere.

That's the hope. But in all honestly many of us feel even with a great contract this won't be a great place to work/career airline without a top down culture/philosophical change. And that won't happen with our current management.

Edit: agree with tyler durden 100%.

An industry leading contract will make up for quite a bit of managerial failings. I'm curious which airline management you know of that isn't scum. It's been my experience thus far that being a dirtbag is an essential requirement of being an airline CEO. Jeff Smiesek, Doug Parker, Richard Anderson, Ben Baldanza ect ect are all profit driven animals that will step on anyone's neck they have to in order to raise the stock price a penny.

Management will push a work group as far as they are able. It is up to an individual pilot group to demonstrate there will be consequences and repercussions for their shenanigans.

I agree to a point, however if you talk to pilots at SWA, DL, UA, etc, most will tell you that management doesn't play games with their contract (I'm sure there are some exceptions). These CEO's, while profit-driven, realize that it costs more in the long run to mess with your employees. If and when we get a new contract, I foresee a "fly it and grieve it" attitude coming from our management. A leopard doesn't change his spots.
