There's no way you are getting the call there, no possible way. You are so over qualified it aint even funny. They know there is no way they are going to get a year out of you. In their mind you are too big of a risk, wasted investment.

I've gotta say he's probably right. From our managements perspective, you are overqualified.

You could head to a job fair and see if that helps. I know our chief pilot will be at one coming up in Palm Springs (I think is where it is). Not sure of the date though.

Thanks for the response guys. Basically, it either comes down to a Allegiant or a regional for me. I will see if I can attended a job fair.

Does anyone know when the next job fair is that Allegiant will be attending?

GV, you seem to be putting a lot of energy into applying here. An OP already mentioned something about a Palm Springs fair? Maybe you are already; have you put apps into all ULCC/LCC and Legacies? VA just published their new pay scale, Spirit will open section 6 soon in they haven’t already. I have heard of peeps back in the day, walking into corporate and asking to speak to the CP.

Xbone,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I've put apps in with all the legacies. I was told that due to my lack of 121 time it would be challenging to get an interview with a major. Which leaves me the option of going to a regional or Allegient. I would guess that Allegient would be the better option. I was unable to locate an upcoming job fair in psp.

I disagree with whoever gave you that advice. Your chances are as good as anyone’s, as far as the legacies. It can’t hurt though..

Agreed. And Allegiant is not better than a regional. The pay is, but certainly not the quality of life.

Based on the facts within this thread, I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around why someone would try so hard to come here when there's VA, B6, and NK. I guess some people just need to find out the hard way. : (

Makes me wonder, considering all the hiring going on, why anyone would stay.

I think we've gone over this several times, Rat. I encourage you to go back and re-read the thread if you can't remember.
