You can hold SFB right out of training. I think a couple of new hires even went to the Airbus in SFB out of training. If you live in SFB and want to stay there the rest of your career then Allegiant is the place for you.
I just want to be closer home until I can go into a Legacy (If I ever make it into a Legacy).
I have no turbine PiC so I guess SW is out of bounds for now.

They're already having enough trouble filling classes as it is.
I thought there were so many applicants that you needed strong internal recs to get an interview. It seems that every single airline is having a hard time filling classes, or so they say, yet there's no shortage of qualified applicants.

Word is that some were offered a slot in the last class and said thanks but no thanks. As the majors finally start gearing up this should only become more of an issue. So you're right in that warm bodies will always be available, but since 2007 they haven't had a problem picking whomever they wanted and now they are having to compete.

Hopefully it gets worse for management in this area.

Got an interview in a week from now. Does anyone have any updated interview questions for me? All gouges I can find are at least a few years old...
Thanks!
Thanks!

Net680, as a new-hire I'd say the best gouge is simply go in and be yourself. There is a written test that is still covered by the old gouge. This company has it figured out that a test written by someone that doesn't have a clue how to fly an airplane (asking questions about why Cathy drives a blue car...give me a break) is going to guarantee they get the best folks. I am in class with GREAT and very sharp people. You're going to have an intro, a couple of management pilots asking you questions (there is 1 HR person sitting by you), then a couple of check airmen at the next round (again, there's an HR person sitting by you), then a sim scenario...and then some lunch. There are no "Gotcha" questions, seemed like no psych eval, and no trying to ask you questions where you could paint yourself into a corner. They're simply asking you about your experience, why you want to work here, and are you aware that it won't be easy trying to commute should you choose not to move to your base. Even the HR folks were asking reasonable questions. I did no prep and gave them honest answers...I'm guessing everyone else in my class did the same. Every one of my classmates is "What you see is what you get," we all get along great, and became friends fast.
