Let' see, pay, retirement, no insurance, training, per diem, 2+ year TDY, captain awards out of seniority, schedules, vacation (or lack of), rental car driving, hotel standards, training travel, maintenance, staffing, and that's all I can think of off the top of my head....

Notable quotes from der Führer:

“Your retirement is not my responsibility!”
“I suggest real-estate”
“We’re not family”

My all time favorite:

“Just another F---ing Airline!”

^^^This. Plus who needs an EDCT time when you have 2, 5, 7 hour delays?? READ not just this thread, but ALL Allegiant threads. And that post from Clippedwings is how old?

This place is not a right fit for you. I know that bc it's not the right fit for anyone.

Anyway, every question you've asked (except for the coffee question) has been answered in a thread somewhere. Don't be lazy.

I also saw that attrition isn't too high. Must not be that horrible to work there but I'm sure I don't know the whole story. I'd seriously want to hear more about it though. I know APC is a place for doom and gloom but as an outsider it's a little confusing.

You're using a post from June of 2013 to try to rationalize coming here? You probably don't know this, but that was written before Merlot (our scheduling "software") came into play. I'm sure Clippedwings is on now on board with the rest of us. Hell, if you look back 4 years in my posts you will see me defending our pay and "benefits" left and right. That's the beauty of Allegiant and this management team, they turn lifelong anti-union people into picket line walkers and YES voters. They have done more to galvanize this pilot group into action than any union propaganda EVER could.

98% of the pilots can't be wrong.

Recently, they have putting putting new hires in to all three aircraft. Primarily, it's the MD-80 and Airbus though.

They can't figure out what the want to do with the 757.

CLMP,
Excellent points. I remember about 5 years ago the excitement and enthusiasm you would read on this very board about how ALG was going to Hawaii and would dominate the vacation markets.
It's own employees were it's biggest cheerleaders (and those that owned the stock).
Funny how in such a short time mgmt has figured out how to convert it's most ardent supporters into supposed "rabid" unionists.
ALG is the type of company mgmt which caused the rise of unions in the first place and they keep the movement alive.

It has been an interesting transition. MG and AL weren't able to do it alone. It wasnt until they brought in the pros from Northwest that things really took a turn. They used to be cheap but didn't screw with us which was a combo that worked. Then the Northwest crew showed up and put the screws to us as far as lifestyle. Now they are just doubling down. Amazing really what effect a couple of people can have on a company this size.

Dead-on Autothrust. I was thinking the exact same thing. Hostile take over from the most bone-headed airline management philosophy in the business. Somehow their idiotic beat-down style was going to work at Allegiant when it didn't work at NWA? Several VPs, a senior VP and a handful of directors get their walking papers from DAL (I wouldn't keep em either) and they wander over to us to spread their cheer, along with their 'success stories': "Guys, guys, at brand x, we used to...blah, blah).

How's brand x doing, BTW?

The waiting game has begun in earnest. Best of luck to all of us, although I don’t think we need it. G4 management has done everything to ensure a positive outcome from the nmb board. They have brought this wrath unto themselves.
