'Ol boy didn't waste any time, did he?! Jump on in there, sailor! Glad we got the awkward introductions and pleasantries out of the way. Straight to the business of screwin' the pilots. Just like he did at the last 3 outfits he shut down. At least we know where we stand.

Wonder how long this hero will stick around before he pulls the D ring on his golden parachute and bails to cash in on another boondoggle. How many carrier landings was that? So impressive.

Unlike his predecessors, this clown is in for a rude awakening. His chances of getting anywhere with this angry gang was already pretty darn slim. This letter has just sealed the deal. Marking time till he's fired or quits. Awesome.

Email from Steve Harfst:

"First, Allegiant is committed to continuing to bargain in good faith with our pilots and their union representatives......With work still to be done, we are disappointed that rather than spending time and effort on proposals and discussion, the IBT has instead chosen to attack the company instead of the issues."

Email from our ExCo 2 hours later:

"We were advised late last night by the mediator that the company had refused to reconsider its position and that it continues to refuse to meet with us in Orlando without the mediator present."

Swing and a miss, Steve. Swing and a miss.....

so is this going to lead to allegiant hiring pilots with less than 3 thousand hours or lead to them folding up? serious question. and i know nobody has a crystal ball but allegiant is a major airline not a regional i think that plays a factor into management wanting to work with the pilots and keep going or do they want to liquidate and walk away?

Walk away from what? Millions in profits? I think not.

Management has had two years of negotiations to work with the pilots. They haven't started yet....

We were profitable during $150 a barrel and the darkest days of the recession. As we were told, rising tides lift all boats.

I don't think he sent that email himself. He was touring the gates at SFB when the email was sent. I talked to him for a bit, he doesn't seem to have that NWA arrogance that the B&B show has.
