By his ego and natural dislike of pilots and anything union. One scenario, we win an impasse from the nmb and he refuses to smell the coffee.

He owns roughly 20%.

When the other 80% are telling him what to do he will take his ball and go home. The majority of stocks are held by large mutual funds who have little time and patience for his DNA.

Google George Zimmer from Men's Wearhouse. He founded the company and was forced out by thr board. It's all part of going public. It's not YOURS anymore.

You bring in somebody so the outgoing Chairman has plausible deniability. I saw one CEO "retire" to the BOD and brought in his replacement to be the hatchet man.

Once the costs were slashed 30%, the meat axe man was rewarded with a job at NWA.

How about Steve Jobs getting fired from apple. Hopefully history repeats itself sooner rather than later. It’s time for a DNA change. And we will be the catalyst for it.

There is a perfect storm brewing that G4 cannot deny:

1- Tactical momentum: A favorable NMB and Federal Lawsuit
thumping
2- Falling Oil
3- An improving US economy
4- Pilot hiring everywhere

G4’s process for negotiations and release will mirror spirit’s strike. Keep in mind spirit was a privately held company. Spirit could easily hide the money and lie all day about how poor they were. Baldanza didn’t have nearly as many stake holders to answer to. And he cried uncle in what, four or five days. Pilot hiring was in the toilet, and the US economy was stagnated.

They've already lost. The only question is how BIG the check is going to be.

Former North American here. Not to scare anyone, but for us Steve was basically brought on board to suck as much money out of the operation as possible for the investors before bankruptcy. The man has no soul or conscience, and will do whatever it takes to get the most out of Allegient for the investors only with no intention of building a stronger company. That was his goal at NAA and he was given a bonus for it. Again that was just what happened with us. I'm usually a glass is half full guy and didn't believe it but that is what ended up happening. It sucks but I think with everything going on over there recently it looks like you guys are headed down the same path. Just my opinion of course. The good news is EVERYONE is hiring NOW.

Thanks for the info. One question: was North American already on shaky financial ground when this guy was brought in? The reason I ask is that Allegiant is very strong financially and I don't see a shutdown anywhere in our future (except for the one WE are going to create). This guy seems like a hired gun brought in to keep employees at bay and make the ultra rich even richer. He's going to be met with 500 fed up pilots on Day 1.

It's hard to say. It was a little because of troop draw down so we knew that was gonna have an impact but we were making money hand over fist. Yes, Allegiant does have a totally different business model so bringing him in could be to just squeeze more money out. He's good at that. Just when you think they can't possibly take anymore away...Steve finds a way. Good luck with him. Maybe he's not the same guy as he was.
