We do out and backs to northern cities from vacations so basically, yes. Our ex-COO (who recently resigned) said that for "efficiency" the AB may ending doing overnights in the future. But the -80 will probably always be day trips. Obviously overnights are still possible bc of MX etc, but basically the company doesn't like to pay for hotels. I don't know what the delivery dates are on the Airbuses, supposedly we'll be buying even more once the A-320 NEOs come out and all the older Buses from Spirit, F9, and Airways come off lease (which we'll probably pay cash for.)

Doubt it. All it takes is to make several cities like CVG which already has a lot of flying going in and out into most other bases and that takes the heat off of SFB and PIE from parking too many planes overnite and it allows them to keep all trips day trips.

I think I do have the secret to Merlot.
Never bid days off.
Bid all trips only. I can't stress this enough. After they award you those trips you are up to the required amount of flying for the month. Choose trips on days you want to work and make the days off the last choices.
You have to realize that what days you want off doesn't matter at all to the person reading your excel spreadsheet and selecting your trips. However, if you put in all flying trips instead they must choose those first.
I won't say my schedules have been perfect since I tried this but I will say they have gotten much better.

The difference is that Island Air was smart enough to abandon this POS software. Allegiant will keep kicking this can down the road....

So I listened to the investor replay and 2 things stood out to me.
1) $25m hit due to not enough crews and having to use sub-service. Who ever stated sub-service hurts wasn't kidding.
2) Maury thinks contracts with dispatchers, FA's and Pilots will be done soon. Are We closer than I thought?
