Guess they like something ALPA did after all. How convenient.

We hear a lot about the culture at places like SWA, who hire people who will fit in to that...what's the culture that Allegiant is trying to build?

Think Mesa for grown ups and you'll be a shoe in for the next class.

I think I'd be more worried about what to expect flying a bunch of junker 3rd hand MD-80s and Mojave reject 757s.

The MD80 is a good old bird they are very well maintained, and our 757's have been gone completely through front to back, they even added winglets.

Look around, if you want to fly major freight and passenger airlines, that attitude will get you nowhere. Stay with what bizjet or low-rent outfit you want.
Let's see, I have done plenty of research, been an ALPA member, was involved with the local, and now I am no longer a part of a union and get to negotiate my own pay and benefits like an adult should be able to do. So maybe it is you who is spouting off thinking you are informed on both sides.

This is the funniest thing I have read today! The only way one could possibly consider them (an Allegiant airplane) to be well-maintained is if one "looks the other way"...and even then it's a stretch.
