Word on the street is they've been parked. Apparently the FAA rejected their petition for immediate ETOPS certification.

Not quite...

First airplane is scheduled to arrive in May with proving runs beginning in June. Always subject to change...

Hiring may resume in April or May.

Ok cool next question. Say one was to get hired there. What's the likelihood of getting based in fort lauderdale?? Is it fairly senior?

I saw one of your 757s in Abu Dhabi, UAE just the other day. It's going through a heavy check. Fully painted in your colors, but under a foreign registration still.

We have short term leased out three of the 757's to a European carrier.

Getting FLL as a new hire would be hard its a very small base. One aircraft.

Sorry to Hijack, but in the spirit of talking bases, how senior is IWA/LAS/LAX looking if hiring picks back up?

Usually at least half of a new hire class gets LAS. No one is getting IWA or LAX right off the bat as there is a line waiting to get into each, longer for IWA. The last pilots to get LAX & IWA waited around 9 months from their hire date to get in.

Latest comments from CEO stated little or no growth in 2011; not sure about the above comment referencing hiring in May but hope it's true.
