The Disability insurance is pretty important. I didn't think much about it until I came home to get a first class medical back in 2008. My four days off turned into no more flying.

Absolutely not. I agree that this particular policy is excellent. But that is just about the only one. And even this I recall MG wanted to "modify."

Schedules are widely different by base. LAS basically doesn't fly on Tue and Sat so days off can be fragmented, other bases are small enough to have a few personalized lines but most are 4/3 or 3/4. Reserve is 10 days off a month, either 5/2 every week or a couple of weeks of 4/3 depending on the month.
