At Allegiant be cautious about what the most jr. FO in a base is as that may not be an indication as to how soon you will get it. I was in the Oct class with the most jr. guy that got IWA. The only problem is that there are 4 more guys that were in that class that also want IWA. I am not sure how many from either the Dec. or Jan. class want IWA but the wait could be a little longer for IWA then some of the other bases. We hire a lot of Mesa guys so IWA seems to be fairly popular. Before the guy in my class got IWA, the wait was around a year to get IWA.

As is always the case at Allegiant it all depends on how many from IWA decide to upgrade and if they decide to expand IWA at all. One day I hear they may add an aircraft or two, the next day they say they have no more room to expand in IWA. So who knows how long it may take a new hire to get IWA.

Hey, thanks for the good info. I have a few more...

Is IWA a small base compared to the others?
Is there any indication based on loads and frequency of flights that IWA will remain a viable base?
How does LAS compare and would it be easier to hold?
What are the reserve call out times?

IWA is very much a viable base, We have carried over 2 million Passengers out of here since we started the base. The larger bases are LAS, SFB, and IWA in that order. Reserve call out is 90 min. Base assignment is all over the map it is almost impossible to guess. Right now florida is short first officers by the time we hire who nows.

The 6 of us in the Jan class are being sent to SFB, but all want to be out west. 2 want LAS and the other 4 want IWA (maybe an OAK tossed in there as well). Hopefully it'll only take a month or two to get back out west.
