It would seem that the aformentioned increase in 757 flying alone should require more new-hires by summer, but nothing official's been announced yet.
This seems to be the pattern....they say they're fat on pilots until suddenly they need people to come in for interviews tomorrow....

Laxrox43- I was hired in the Oct. 21st class and if anyone wanted any of the bases in FL they could have them. SFB went to the most jr. guy in our class, and he has since bid out for LAS for Feb. According to the last published bid list SFB went to 3 people in the Dec. class, including the most jr. guy in class. Per the published bids of the 3 who got SFB only one wanted it.
So the short answer is yes, on the FO side it is very easy to get SFB and you would most likely get it right out of class if you wanted it.
Best of luck to you! So far I love it here! Best gig in the business if you live in base. All day trips and home every night.

SFB also has some senior FO's which are close to upgrade. The next round of hiring may also happen during a round of upgrades resulting in more SFB openings.

For the Allegiant folks out there, a few questions I hope you won't mind answering... to start.
How senior is the IWA base and how long it would take to get it?
As far as schedules go, how many days on at a time are typical?
What time do you usually leave base and get back?
Thanks for any insight.

Bottom F/O's in IWA were hired in Oct. so right now the wait is not long at all.
On reserve 5 on/2 off or 4/2 is typical with some 3 day off stretches. 10 days off for the month.
Regular Lines are all over the map, sometimes 5 on in a row, often 2 on - 2 off - 2 on - 1 off.
You either do AM's or PM's. Typically you leave @ 0700 get back @1300 or leave @1400 get back at 2200. Mostly 2-legs out-and-back.
Consider carefully if applying to Allegiant and having your heart set on any of the smaller bases - the staffing system is in a state of flux and it's possible that changes are on the way. Nothing's been announced but be forewarned....
