Eric... I guess you forgot the legacy guys who took pay cuts without a guaranty for repayment or reinstatement of cut salaries? I guess you forgot about the legacy guys who allowed their retirement benefits to be terminated without restoration? Oh... I also guess you forgot about the cuts in health insurance benefits taken by the legacy guys too??? Sooooo who was the first to lower the so-called bar?

By the way how much does a first year CAL, or DAL F/O make?

TD,

Why do people add "Ir" in front of a perfectly spelled word? Why does adding the "ir" not change the meaning of the word? "Irregardless" is not a word. I think you were looking for "regardless."

If you are going to correct grammar / spelling you better be top English dog. Which you are not, so end it there, ... or is it their, no they're.

I remember during OCS, Marines would use the word "orintate" as in "... orintate their map." What does that mean? I tried to correct them once, it didn't work, so I just listened to their idea and ignored their misuse of the English language.

Anyway, debate ideas, don't grade folks grammar / spelling.

Actually it's the opposite. On the last AE SEA 7ER went to 2007 hires and MSP 7ER went to late 08 hires. Basically the bottom of the list.

So, you don't think those guys on the bottom of the MSP 7ER are going to be displaced during this next AE/MD from guys getting booted out of SLC.

I just checked on the Sept Bid List and the plug (I like that term) in MSP is 9-17-07, #11627, You are correct, just under 3 years (by a week or so).

I still think that pilot will get displaced by a MD, if not they are going to be the plug and on reserve for a long time.

I don't expet their pay to be top tier but there's no reason their guys couldn't at least argue for industry standard.
I see the opposite in the industry. Dirt bag companies who pay their employees poor wages are growing while those who have been handcuffed by union contracts are fading. Besides what it the industry "standard" anymore?

In the past a 757 captain commonly made over 200K but now it is far less and dropping. I expect it to reach the break even point at 85K for a domestic Boeing jet captain.

"Irregardless their situation is a liddle dipherent."

You thought that sentence was real? My response was to another poster who was trying belittle someone. It's the equivalent of someone calling you a "moran". If you're going to take a swing at least cover your basis.

I held the 767 3 months after I got hired in 2007 and was on it for 3 years. I don't think there will be enough cascade to bump the junior guys off the ER elsewhere.

Right... so tell me how you're arriving at this 85,000 figure, considering I was making over 6 figures in the right seat on said airplane (and now the same in a smaller plane)?
