Yeah I know, like the way we don't fly unprofitable routes just to "keep our market share". Flying a 91% full 757 "https://g4connect.silkroad.com/G4Connect/Uploads/Documents/Home_Documents/NewsReleasePDF/FebTraffic2010.pdf" to Hawaii is going to make that 20% plus profit margin disappear. Wait, you can make MORE money flying a 757 that an MD-80!! Wait, we are buying 6 planes for 90 million, mostly for cash. To be honest though I think our new sliding pay scales are a good idea, however the scales are a little in favor of management but I'm willing to see how it works for awhile. I'm mostly upset over the refusal to negotiate on the work rules. My ALPA card is in the mail.

First of all, living in a free country allows one to speak their mind.
Second, I dont think after having served my country for several tours of duty in places like Iraq and Afghanistan I need to be told the definition of professional. I'm sure you have placed your life on the line for your country like millions of us in the military have and I thank you for that.
Finally, who made you the expert on airline pay and what makes other people happy? Have a little decency for the people at Allegiant and their contract. Just because you may not like things doesnt mean other people agree with you.

As to ETOPS certification for the AIRLINE, not these airliners, they'll get it. They're a low cost carrier and this DOT loves low cost carriers, they're in to that redistribution thing. They'll probably require that a legacy carrier give up flights to Hawaii just so that they have more pricing power. Maybe Allegiant is who DAL/USAir ought to give their slots to if they abide by certain "rules". There would be some upset lobbyist though in DC over that.
