Is there a base in IWA that I see on the employment ad? If so, how many pilots are based their, how's the flying from "Willy"? I have my stuff in with them but haven't heard anything. How's the hiring going, still a couple more classes for this year? Probablly have a huge cascade of apps now.

Thanks for the replys!

Yes, we have an IWA base. 19 pilots there now, with expansion to add more pilots soon. Flying out of IWA has been very impressive so far.

Right now there are more than 5000 resumes on file. Unless you have an internal recommendation, I wouldn't expect a call anytime soon. Until they get through all the internals, I don't think they'll be calling anyone else.

This is a message for big_air. I'm flying out of Bellingham on the 19th of Jan with my family to Las Vegas. Our flight leaves at 4:24pm. They have never flown before, but I am the one that is scared beyond words. I've always been afraid to fly and once in the plane I begin to cry. Once the plane takes off I get so scared it's going to crash that I honestly freak out. Please tell me if you know the flight crew of our plane & if they are long time flyers. I'm seriously freaking out. I know some will say "Why fly then" but obviously it's the way to get there without a long drive. I've heard so many bad things about Allegiant lately & their saftey record with the MD's hasn't been that incouraging. Please be honest, do you believe we'll be ok?

thanks

No one is making you fly. Drive if it's that big of a deal.

If you feel like you have to fly, then go to your doctor and tell him what you just told us. Then you'll get some valium and a relaxing flight.

I just flew to and from Florida with my family on Allegiant and it was fantastic.

With no disrespect intended, you may wish to choose another mode of transportation which will save the crew from any unnecessary anxiety attacks, possible diversions, and inconvenience.

Thanks.

What the hell are you talking about? Bad things about Allegiant?? We haven't made enough money over the last few years for you? Please explain what bad things about Allegiant you've heard and about our bad safety record with the MD's...

Get off the crack dude... and oh... that flight you're on. The Captain just upgraded after 2 months with the company and the FO will be on his first flight after training. If I were you, I would take Greyhound. You might want to check their safety record first though... I hear those busses are having issues.

Have you ever had a fear of something, yet still did it? I came here for support, not to be critisized! I'd appreciate that!

I can personally vouch that Allegiant Airlines is top notch. I just flew on them last week for the first time and it was a great experience. Nice gate/crew/flight attendants. Airplane was clean, newly painted and we were early both ways.

You're just ignorant! For your info MANY things have been said about Allegiant HERE in this very forum. For example: Piolet was fired for refusing to fly an unsafe aircraft. And obviously if you google the MD aircraft you will clearly see in Wickapedia a # of them!

I'm not a Dude & I'm not on crack thank you very much! What you just said about the flight I'm on was just ignorant and rude! I seriously have a major fear of flying and this comment clearly has just cost my family allot of money and my 2 young boys the joy of a vacation they have been so excited about for months. You should be ashamed of yourself!
