Post Sky writing over Super Bowl

Apparently Allegant's union hired a sky writer to write over Vegas just before the Super Bowl:

Awesome display of union power as the big ticket items on the contract begin to be negotiated & we head into 3 more years of mediation toward the strike countdown.....

Too bad our fractures showed their real union power when we picketed at headquarters with TEN people. Yes TEN pilots showed up for picketing event at head quarters five days ago utter embarrassment. Basically telling MG how we weak and disorganized we are as a union membership.

oh no I didn’t hear? Andrew is now saying he only wanted ten people to show up even tho he and the stewards rented three school buses to take us from a hotel to headquarters?

this guy is the quintessential politician - what a corrupt blow hard.

Maybe this isn't the right job for you? It doesn't seem to be fulfilling your expectations most of the time.

I love this job, I just don’t like that ego and possible corruption is getting in the way of us being paid and working with a contract we deserve.

I am a firm believer in organized labor and trade unions. But that’s also why it’s so disappointing to see all the worst things about unions playing out with our little local.

The pilots have selected to maintain the same course for the future, in my opinion it’s best to support our leadership and the plan they have laid out for us. I know that might not be easy to accept especially considering some feel that wrong doing occurred during the election. But it doesn’t seem likely it’s going to be overturned. It’s time to move forward.

as long as Andrew makes bone headed decisions I will criticize them. Fortunately he appears to have made some wise decisions in bringing in the AA negotiator and supposedly removing himself from negotiations (although he is still the chief negotiator per the NMB’s records so I’m not sure how that works).

But for the most part he’s terrible at leading a union and after years of complaining about it, the rest of the pilot group has seen just how inept and power-hungry he truly is. Hopefully we get another chance to vote so he can thoroughly ousted.
