And then you've completely missed the most profitable contract cycle in the last 2 decades of this industry and the best negotiating environment any of us have seen in our entire careers. All because of AR's arrogance and incompetence. 2-3 more years of being the lowest paid Airbus pilots in the USA.
I hate to take another victory lap (not really) but WN finally publicly stated what I’ve been saying two months: slowed hiring at WN has now stopped entirely for 2024. Even CJOs are being deferred.
Our class sizes are so full that our training pipeline is at capacity. The world really has changed in the last 10 months. Our leverage has been turned on its head. 10 months ago we were losing over a pilot a day and management was terrified. Now management has all the leverage to play the waiting game while our exco and supreme leader Robles are being investigated. Union leadership is completely dysfunctional and has lost the trust of this pilot group with the exception of Tom, he’s still a believer.

Very disappointing that we completely missed the boat and lost our opportunity for generational leverage in negotiations.

But I’m sure you’re okay with that, while leverage was sky high let’s get the most we can in union business!!
I also wouldn’t be wasting my time on an unprecedented position of 0% unstacking - when the highest in the industry is between 30-50% (dalpa, depending on the month). When Maury was flying to Goodyear to meet with Robles they talked about unstacking and how Robles is an IT and software expert. This is what actually happened, why do think the entire NC resigned???
Of course you’ll ignore this and pretend like everything is fine because that is what you do. I give facts, you give excuses lol

I already told you, Andrew spent the first nine months of negotiations when the leverage was the highest to negotiate union business. June 2021 til April or May 2022 to negotiate his own salary.
But I’m sure you’re okay with that, while leverage was sky high let’s get the most we can in union business!!

it’s a fact that Robles spent 9 months negotiating union business. Sources in management and in the union have told me that. It’s not a secret.

AR and his crew have been an absoute disaster for this pilot group. He spent months/years, while wasting the best leverage we'll ever see in our careers, continuously passing ridiculous asks that no airline management group would ever sign off on. Now fast forward to today with all of that time wasted away, and we still can't close simple sections and are no closer to a contract than we were in 2022. Hiring is starting to dry up across the industry and we'll likely be stuck for an indefinite amount of time with pay rates that are frankly embarrasing. I doubt it will be a pleasant return to the line whenever he finally exits office. That day can't some soon enough for us all.
