Allegedly, the union secretary no longer has the list of pilots who's ballots were counted.

I thought a third party counted all the ballots, the company that Teamsters International uses for elections?

Both slates told pilots to reach out to the Secretary to find out if their ballots were counted. I've seen screenshots of the email replies from the Secretary, but now I've heard that she no longer has the list.

Basically, a lot of pilots ballots were never received, even when they mailed them right away. A lot of VPS pilots votes were not received. Every ballot had that persons name on them so if someone had access to the PO Box they could have made ballots disappear that they knew who wouldn’t vote for their slate. The question is… did either slate have access to the PO Box before the election.

You think its possible that someone broke in to the third party Global Election Services Inc. PO box to steal ballots?

Ballots were missing from both sides so I think it's far more likely that it was just a stupid ****ing idea to have mail in ballots in December.

Agreed. The fact that Teamsters still insists on using antiquated procedures is yet another reason that they need to go in favor of ALPA. There is zero reason why electronic voting can't be done in 2024.

It's intentional. Much easier to manipulate the results that way. "Lost ballots". Lol. What is this, 2020?

It is pretty odd that the slate who is challenging AR did not have a single one of their votes counted. All of those votes were mysteriously "lost" in the mail. Especialy after JR and gave detailed videos of how to properly vote and mail in the ballots. I have reached out to several pilots in VPS and none of them had their votes counted and all of them said they mailed in their ballots on the first possible day.

Now we get the email from Scott Hegland telling the entire pilot group what we already knew: that we are no where close to a deal. AR has been lying to us during the run up to the election. Ryan J has now been sidelined and told to stay in his place (no longer part of the negotiating committee). AR is already back to his old ways. Why do we need to spend approx 3m dollars of dues on a media blitz if a contract is right around the corner? Will the 3m in media spending be as effective as the patience billboards in Vegas when AR called a strike vote and then had to walk it back in 2018? Our local union is a complete cluster ****.

This is exactly why MG is laughing all the way to the bank: he loves having AR in power because AR is inept and completely ineffective. The turmoil our union is in right now is something the Ford harrison attorneys and management would love to take credit for - instead it is all self-inflected wounds by our own leadership. That is a shame.
