Contract negotiations

Is now really the time to be nip picking our union for things like this? It’s kind of them to respond to people’s questions here and there. We have a small pilot group.. it seems appropriate enough to me. What’s important is the context and it has been well intended and they are looking out for us in the best way that they can at this point.
The problem is that Andrew and his capos comments on Facebook are more about boosting his image and self viewed credibility, political posturing, and shouting down "enemies" (anyone who questions him). It's part of the political machine. Less about actually conveying information. Anyone who challenges him gets whacked. Which is probably why you see so many pot shots here. Less ability for them to retaliate in real life for questioning the Boss.
Yes, their communications strategy is amateur hour and making that more professional like the other unions would be a welcome change.
This is the correct answer. The sycophantic cheering for Andrew needs to stop. He is not a king, he is not actually a mafia boss (though he acts like it), he is a representative. He should accept and consider criticism, regardless of the source, not deny, deflect, and retaliate like he does. It's pretty much known on that site that criticizing the EXCO is non grata and that's wrong if they truly desire a two way forum, not a propaganda dissemination device. It shows his inexperience, narcissism, and internal lack of confidence in his own abilities and thats not a good look.

I haven’t seen that at all. I’ve seen plenty of comments that are appropriately negative towards AR and the union and they still are alive and the comments are still visible. It was the unions best interest to wait it out so a new contract gets better from every other airline. I think that time is ending and senior folks are starting their backup plan. The big question is will the company pay the pilots with the rules they want with an industry standard/ leading contract or be regressive like the last update.
I Unusually agree with what you say because your direct(which hurts feelings so folks don’t like it) but this high school teen drama with AR is off topic.

This high school teen drama is totally warranted, I even asked my high school teen what they would say in this situation. We are PAYING AR to do a job and he's surrounding himself at the table with scarily under-qualified people. It's all good though, I'm sure our team of trail lawyers and culinary union negotiators do an excellent job when they aren't drinking with AR.

We're allegiant, can we quit with this whole "industry leading" garbage? Don't get me wrong, I want all the money they'll throw our way, the work rule improvements we need and the ancillary benefits (disability, 401k, etc.) but if you want industry leading compared to Delta? Go to Delta. It isn't going to happen here and spreading this misnomer that it will is only going to lead to hurt feelings and a baseless "no" vote on any AIP shown to us.
