This is true and a big issue for a lot of fence sitters that are waiting for him to come out with a more blunt message while at the same time are buying into the company hopium videos. When the company passes are concessionary to our current CBA, that's an obvious tell they are betting on the recession. If anyone reading this doesn't believe anything I'm saying try asking a steward or negotiator off the record if they think this will drag out for years and years under NMB.
The company is smart AND they need everyone here for the busy spring and summer, there is no way they let it go to the NMB soon. They will move the needle just enough to keep you thinking there is a chance.

If you watched Andrew's last video he was pretty clear, I'm paraphrasing but basically he said that if you're on the fence about leaving or staying then the next couple months will tell the tale; if we don't have a T/A in that timeframe....... well, pretty obvious what he was getting at.
If the company continues to refuse to give us the work rules that literally every other airline already has and continues to offer insulting pay rates, then there really is no reason for a fence sitter to stick around. There is enough data out there now to give a direction for rates and the work rules have been in place for years. If the company isn't coming to the table with an acceptable deal now, they have plans that don't include significant growth over the next five years.
Wonder how many pilots it takes to be charter drivers to get people to sunseeker in PGD? I bet it isn't 1100 (or 2000, or 5000).

Asking if he’s leaving is a straw man argument. I think he’s around 300 ish on the list and maybe has somewhere around 10 years left (just guessing). That’s not even close to the same type of decision most have to make.
I’m having discussions with the wife about leaving myself and I’m also around the top 25%, mostly about moving to a legacy base with the kids in college.

take it for what its worth. per sources: "nobody should be super excited or think that we have gotten any closer in other sections of the contract, just that there is not a grand canyon separating management and the union when it comes to training."
honestly, i don't know whether this is good news or bad news. should it really be "good news" that management isn't doubling down on what has historically been at best, below average training? with all the growth management wants to have, training should be easy to get done - what is there to fight about?

I think RH and MB will bring as much potential for genuinely positive change in their respective departments as we could hope for. At the end of the day though, their leash is only as long as MG allows. Hopefully, he sees as much potential in them as we do. At this point, any news is good news when it involves that union/company divide shrinking.
