Gee I wonder where they got that idea. Straight out of the Mesa playbook from the mid 2000s.
Have fun flying with those 750 hour FOs who have never flown anything larger than a Cessna. Pathetic. This is going to increase CA workload even higher.
They keep undermining safety without caring that if an airline of this size with the history it has ends up with a smoking crater, it's game over.

pay rate rumors from the union
heard from a source that the exco finished section 3 and is gonna be passing soon. i'm hearing that the rates are significantly higher than Alaska's new rates. plus huge improvements to min guarantees, min duty pay, deadhead, etc.
now we will see how serious management is about getting a deal done...

Also did you hear it from the union or is it a rumor? Or is it a union guy spreading BS rumors that you fell for hook line and sinker? Or is it your handlers in management holding out another "you'll regret it if you leave now" carrot to get the company through the holidays? Lol

Thats odd because usually pay is the last section negotiated. Are you telling me that all the other sections are closed out? We know they aren't.

It makes sense the union would be putting our rates on the table soon now that Alaska's is set. no fear that Allegiant will be leapfrogged again. anybody with half a brain knew that exco wouldn't pass anything related to compensation until one of the bigger airlines set the bar.

heard from a very reliable source. i then reached out to top union leadership and got no responses from them which is unusual, normally i get at least a "now's not a good time" or "can't talk about ___". the source was adamant that section 3 was done and that the exco has just been waiting to see if the Alaska deal gets ratified. i believe the source. they have been on point in the past.

Either your "source" is BS (very likely) or the union guys and their attorney who has never negotiated an RLA contract before don't know what they're doing. One doesn't simply point at a ratified agreement and say "we'll take that plus X% now". You have to close the other sections first in order to cost out the entire deal. That's why compensation is last. Your tall tale simply doesn't make sense. You wouldn't pass a compensation proposal then go back and hit scheduling and hours of service.
I say you're full of crap, as usual. I'm sticking with your management handlers sent you to spread this one for obvious reasons.

What is so unbelievable about the union passing rates now that Alaska has set the bar? i've been saying for months that the exco was waiting to pass rates until one of the legacy carriers got a deal done. i assumed (wrongly) that it would be UA, but it turns out Alaska was first. now exco at least know what the market is for NB pilots so they can make sure to put out rates that are higher than alaska's - in this case the rates are significantly higher than alaska's.

Like I said above what's so unbelievable is that no airline negotiates in Section 6 that way. It would be completely asinine to pass compensation before the other sections are closed out with known costs and you DO NOT just take a negotiated rate and demand it. That's not how negotiations work. It's a package not a pay rate. I really hope your source is BS and they aren't that simplistic.
