The union could promise you a million dollars and a pony. They can "promise" you anything. But they can't just wave their magic wand and make the company agree to it. If you see some kind of leverage the union has to make the company settle for more than DL/UA/AA that we missed let's hear it. Until then your entire post, and your previous posts like it are complete horse crap. It reads like management propaganda hoping to stop the bleeding. Fact is, nobody is going to come here or stay here because the union "promised" to get them an industry leading contract some undetermined time in the future when every other airline is offering it now. Day trips could be gone tomorrow with a memo.

Also, keep my name out yo' keyboard. Name checking me doesn't give you the credibility you think it does. I may complain a lot, but all of my predictions have come true. Yours have not. You also don't speak for this pilot group "Everyone except [me] supports the union". GMAFB. Tell yourself whatever you want to know dude. Most guys are afraid to speak up. That's why you always see the same 50 guys stroking Andrew on Facebook.
Honest question that I have yet to see an answer to. Maybe you have and I missed it.

Why do YOU stay? Are you actively trying to leave?

We have been assured by our EXCO (individually and to the entire pilot group), that our next contract will be no less than industry standard and that standard is Delta and United. If you come here, you will take a paycut short-term, but in the long run you will be paid on par with the legacies and get to be in your own bed at night (after training and assuming you live in base). Work rules will also be on par with the legacies. And even if you don't want to live in base, union has said that the next contract will absolutely have commuter language for pilots looking to upgrade but don't want to uproot their family for a few years while they chase an upgrade across the system.

I don't know why there is so much negativity on these threads when every pilot on here knows that the Union has guaranteed us an industry leading contract - they won't even let us vote on a contract if it is less than industry leading. So again i ask the question: why would you go anywhere else when you can get the easy day trips and the pay/work rules that the legacies have???

The truth is, the negative pilots on here think that bashing the company is gonna give leverage to the Union in negotiations. If it was really as bad as they all say, they would have left already for a legacy. Shoot, if its as bad as they say, they'd be leaving in droves for Mesa given their new rates. So why do they stay, when they are likely years away from retirement (we have one of the youngest pilot groups in the industry)? Because they know how great the day trips are; they've already seen management is serious about improving the culture (we have fully replaced our training department and recently our scheduling department in the last 12 months). These pilots also know that we will get the industry leading contract we deserve and get to fly easy day trips and that there is no better airline to work for during a recession (the housing crisis was the gold rush for allegiant, huge revenue and pilot growth during that time).

If you trust the EXCO, as all the pilots on here do (minus Margi) then you all know that we will be the best airline for pay in addition to the best airline for QOL and the best airline for work rules. And negotiations have been picking up, Maury is still chasing AR and getting TAs done. Now that Alaska has TA'd their rates, I expect the union will be passing rates to management very soon. And yes, they will be higher than Alaska's.
I trust the EXCO but be carful in your listening. They will not put out a TA for anything less than industry standard.

nothing can compel the company to agree to industry standard.

I really like it when people cite the growth being dependent on a contract. There is nothing requiring that growth.

It’s just as likely that Allegiant will be smaller and flying an all 737 fleet under the current contract in a couple years.

Truth is it’s all a gamble. but there are reasonable ways to measure the odds of success. Allegiant was looking good for a while but the odds are getting longer as time goes by.

Sunseeker is about to get swallowed by the ocean along with the rest of PGD right before tourist season starts. I wonder how that monkey wrench in their plan will play out.

Hell this hurricane has the potential to take out 4 allegiant bases.

Hurricane Ian's a cat 4 (almost a cat 5) about to nail Charlotte harbor on the front right quarter (worst storm surge). We might go back to being an airline with an insurance payout for Sunseeker.

I don’t think we’ll be that lucky…

Are you kidding me? That will be the first thing they rebuild.

A certain boss is hellbent on being a Resort/Casino CEO again just to flip off his Vegas rivals who fired him from MGM.

I can hear their argument now. "Every other hotel within 100 miles was leveled, so this is an amazing opportunity". Like Forrest Gump after the hurricane.

I know soft pay is more important this time around but any chance to beat Alaskas pay too. Regionals are only paying $ 8 less then Allegiant’s max pay. For example with Republics TA max pay of CA 224 vs $232 at allegiant. Hopefully Allegiant pilots get something good that’s not leap frogged too bad.

Our union says to prepare for a long battle. We will probably apply for mediation end of the year and will take a few months to be assigned a mediator. Then usually it’s a few years after that.

We are waiting to hear about the damage to the Sun Seaker resort in Punts Gorda / Port Charlotte as it’s construction is where their priority is and not the airline.

Margaritaville is consistently wrong and nobody gives him credibility. What a pleasure to see him be called out.
