Our initial training used to be a disaster many years ago but it's really come a long way. Over the last 3-5 years I've heard practically no complaints from the newhires. All airline training is challenging but they give you every tool available and want you to succeed. The only issue is that we use the full European FCOM which can be a little confusing and very extra on the callouts. No other airline says "checked" to everything like we do and constantly talk over each other with extra callouts. Very few airlines read every FMA change like we do.
Now our every 6 month job interview? That's another story. Often it's like they are just making it hard on purpose. If only we had AQP.

Hopefully he sticks around long enough to make some permanent changes that will last.

The new hires i talk to have been pretty impressed with Ed. He does have an impressive resume and knows his stuff. I hope management doesn't grind him down to the point that he leaves...

We’re not even in mediation. Expect at minimum another 2 years after that. And a stagnant/shrinking seniority list in the meantime.

For those who missed it, Allegiant management is so serious about getting us a new contract, they don’t even show up to meetings.
zero progress over the last 3 month. Expect a contract in 2-3 years from now. No change

Hearing the news today was disappointing. Seeing as how the peak of the airline retirements will not even occur for another 3 years, it seems more likely now then ever we will be unable to survive this meltdown. I admit, I was holding out just a little bit for the very slight chance of something happening this year because it seemed that it had to happen for us to survive, but its not going to happen.
