it’s an absolute **** show here, but is still blows me away how many of you feel the need to lie to make this place look bad, when it already looks bad in it true form

Is it really surprising? Has it crossed your mind that maybe they are exaggerating to sway new hires away, increase leverage and get a new TA sooner than later? There are also a few on here that exaggerate to the positive side and help recruit new hires that have unrealistic expectations. Then I'm stuck flying with these negative new hires that were sold a bunch of lies, they are miserable to be around. I'm somewhere in the middle, I try to keep it real. I don't see a TA anytime soon with classes being filled (less 3 no shows per class) and 50 new apps being submitted every week. They have double downed on the size of the training department and will just keep running 2 classes per month while betting legacy stops hiring during the recession and the leverage returns back to management. They want to park those the 30 older 319's anyways since their dispatch reliability and mx cost have been significantly trending in the wrong direction.

Thumbs up g4 winning

New hire class today of 25 pilots. 20 showed. 20% no show rate. In 6 months, half of them will resign. Allegiant airline management winning.

looks like what TT sent out was mostly true: 3x for some OT and 2x in premium pay (JA pay and OT on vacation is crumbs at best)...

I know AR and exco have their reasons for this, but it is rough when somebody who doesn't fly but takes a line anyway and has only seen pay raises during the pandemic tell me that i am not allowed to make double and triple. when there are no concessions being asked for (which from what i've seen on fb there weren't), then let the pilot group decide whether they want to make some extra $$$ during the worst inflation in 40 years.

Or... make sure a new contract and pay raise is around the corner. don't tell me that i can't make extra money now AND that i will have to wait 3-4 more years for a raise.

and all you AR worshippers, don't tell me that this will motivate the company to get a deal done sooner. we are no where close to a new contract. the union has not put forth one economic proposal (and don't plan to until the United numbers are made public). we are years away from a contract so please let me make some extra money in the meantime to take the sting away.

Years away from a contract anyway ‘cause MG isn’t gonna pony up for the rates or the work rules without going all the way down the road to self-help. Agreeing to this proposal conditions the company to think throwing money at us without fixing all the underlying issues will get them through peak months & they can relax a little…..and next they offer to bump 1st pay & of course if the union took the bait for more senior pilots how can they deny helping poor new hires…..the timeline for that T/A just moved even farther out….

AR could have agreed to this, who cares if it "conditions the company to think throwing money at us" will fix the problems. how is this a proposal for the more senior pilots?? tell the company to pound sand for first year pay, first years can still pick up OT right?

let the people choose, if pilots don't want to pick up OT then they can choose not to. I know we are years away from a contract which is why some extra money in the meantime would have been nice. it would have benefited the vast majority of the pilot group with the 2x premium pay. if we were in mediation or close to getting a contract done then i would completely agree with the sentiment that the company is just trying to throw money at us so we accept a bad deal, but we are nowhere close to a new contract so don't tell me this will help our leverage blah blah blah...

let me choose if i want to pickup and make more $$$ its completely voluntary and no concessions...

You’re opening the door to letting the company piecemeal us right out of any reasonable chance of meaningful change. The company chooses what they’re willing to spend money on & once you let the camel’s nose in the tent say goodbye to a new CBA.

And btw if you think 1st-year pilots can pick up OT…..reality check. 5-6 months total for training then wait for OE then finish OE. And then commute to reserve in some upper-midwest rustbelt town and with your handful of remaining days off at home you’re gonna pick up OT?

Im a first year and I have a hard time picking up open time trips. Why? 10 day off month, my days off are Tue and Wed every week plus 2 extras, and then a ****load of reserve. Anything in open time is on a day I have a RAP.

That little deal would have momentarily benefited the super senior cozy line holders, bidding weekends off. If the union makes an exception for the super senior, then what about the new hires?

I’d rather see more sick calls.

I guess the company better speed it up.
