Ya, pretty much a forgone conclusion at this point. Heck, I'm done with all the on boarding, ask that's left is to show up. I really wanted Allegiant to work out though. If you guys had a contract that was at least equal to SW current it would be more doable. But it just sounds pretty bad right now.

That's a bit of a stretch, I've yet to come across a new hire that compares G4 to a regional in this day and age. Outside of our FL flying, this is a part time job for most of us.

I agree….the airline’s not growing but not really shrinking. It’s profitable. Among the lowest pilot costs in the industry. Sunseeker’s about to open. Of course they don’t want a contract - not the part about changing all the work rules anyway.
Still betting on 2025.

Regarding the bonus (just got the email about it this morning): Is this essentially an acknowledgement from the company that a contract isnt anywhere close, and recognition that they are bleeding pilots faster than they can handle? Seems to me if they were serious and recognize the poor state of the contract that, rather than mess around with bonuses, they would just get a good contract in place...quickly.
Im sitting on a CJO and was supposed to start sometime in August. Ive yet to hear back from them to start on-boarding. Their lack of initiative to get new pilots in the door tells me a lot (Southwest has initiated positive communications with me starting about 10 weeks out from proposed start date and already sent all on-boarding actions. They have their own issues, but at least they are showing initiative at getting pilots in and taking care of items early).

Second portion, I'm not sure where you came from prior to G4 or WN but every airline has a different onboarding process. I'm sure ours has changed yearly since I joined back in ancient times but it sounds like lately it's a fingerprint and logbook review and standard document completion. Nothing that requires a crazy lead time. I don't think that is indicative of an airlines desire to get people in the door.
"Thanks to the willingness of most pilots to help out they are mostly covering the schedule" = pilots not breaking the law
you trying to get us in trouble again?? the Union has had to walk back statements like this in the recent past (October 2020)...
If pilots were to stop "helping out" then management would be able to file a lawsuit for a work slowdown and they'd win.

She sang the same song until the end. F & H probably hired her!

what kind of reply is that? I don’t have a business degree. I don’t need one to know when a comment from management is bull.
what were you trying to prove with your answer? I don’t get it. I’ve probably got the wrong degree

Viva Aero
Am I correct that the company who taking our jobs if the exemption is approved just tried to take off from a taxi-way?
Maybe I have the wrong Viva.
But if it is the same company I hope our union is all over this through national to pressure a big fat NO.
