The company hired pretty much half the TN ANG pilots and Im pretty sure the newest ones hired this year already hold TYS. They aint leavin.

There ARE people who have been hired who live in Flint. Allentown has pilots who *gasp* live there. A couple even own local distilleries. Heck, one is a retired Delta pilot!

Our bases arent huge and the company WILL find pilots who live in junior bases who want to stay. Their biggest mistake was hiring young, no degree, no PIC pilots thinking they wouldnt/couldnt leave. They have changed their hiring strategy and sure, not everyone will stay, but they are finding people who truly want to be here.

Some of the biggest whiners on the facebook page are either unhirable elsewhere or have already failed at their interview attempts.

Ill be the first to admit my crystal ball was wrong if years go by without a CBA. If we get one sooner will you do the same?
You mean I'm not the only ex-delta driver on property? Say it ain't so.

Industry leading in some aspects is very much so realistic to expect and it will happen, industry leading across the board will never happen and the union has hinted at that for months now. Where exactly that will fall is up in the air. I'm in the pool of thinkers that believes the company will have no issue straight paying us handsomely, but they'll fight to the brink to maintain control of the variable labor costs. These would be your soft time rules where we differ quite a bit from the legacy's in addition to some of the work rules that aren't monetary in nature. I won't go into specifics on an open forum on what I believe would be a win for the group, we have a team that speaks on our behalf at the table. I can tell you that some areas that are in dire need of significant updates though are reserve (the concern here is some of us senior guys seem to forget just how awful it truly was sitting reserve here and need to be reminded of such), pay, disability and loss of license/medical, as well as vacation. If you want a carrier to compare what we should see at least on a pay scale, get familiar with someone like Alaska or JetBlue. I don't believe that we will see something like delta without being concessionary on other large parts of the contract. What a lot of guys making this "Delta +10" argument seem to forget is you can make a lot of money with soft time.

My honest opinion, if you're on the outside looking in at allegiant right now, you'll read some pretty worrisome things posted on this forum. Ultimately, most of us on here need a hobby. You talk to the guys who show up, do their job and go home and the level of unpleasantness drops significantly. We have a good pilot group and I think truly some great leadership changes recently that may turn the tide of a lot of our problems. If you can handle the pay cut, manage the expectation of not receiving your ideal base immediately and have some flexibility to your way of life, now is a phenomenal time to join us. Once we sign a new contract, classes will be full and a lot of TBNT letters will be sent out.

Should anyone be doing VFNs right now?

We can’t say that, the union can’t say that, and frankly it’s a losing battle anyway. There’s money for the taking & we’re already at the bottom of the industry pay-wise.

Just curious as to what your circumstances were to leave DL and go to G4

From a logic aspect I understand picking up vfn's but don't understand open time. Double pay makes sense...working extra for our crap rates to benefit the company doesn't. Everyone should do what they want though. Nobody is telling anyone what they should do

SMH, this kind of thinking/sharing one’s opinions is what caused our current EXCO to put out a email to us Encouraging people to pick up open time while guys and gals were on the street. Probably the only union president to ever do something like that in the history of the world.

They need to have plausible deniability so when and if the pilots do it, they can say "hey we tried to stop them".
