AR mentioned in his last video that some union members are leaving.

This travel company is a pyramid scheme. You will only have that life if you got in on the ground floor 10-15 years ago. It's different from other airlines because with a young pilot group there are very few retirements, and the senior folks, who have it so good and are vocally selling this place here to keep the crumbling foundation of their pyramid intact, aren't leaving. Anyone hired today probably won't exceed 30% in the company in their career unless they were hired in their 20s and spend 30+ years here. There is practically zero growth potential here now. It's about to become America's most stagnant airline. You will spend many, many years on the bottom of the pyramid, working under the lowest pay and crappiest work rules in the industry.

The mods have told me they don't like my tone anymore, so I'll make this my last post on the topic.

I left Allegiant well over a year ago to work at a legacy airline with a Florida base not far from my Space Coast home. I have zero regrets. I'll be back to A320 CA in a year or two and make back every penny I lost by leaving and then some. I'll still have 10-ish years left too.

I hope anyone looking at this airline (travel company) reads this sometime in the future and seriously ponders it, not what the recruiters and scared seniors are saying.

Best of luck to you all.
LMAO! Ironic coming from the tool that told me (born and raised DSM - always commuted my entire 12 year career - this is my home and always will be) that I was such an idiot to leave given the DSM base.

I can absolutely say, with 100% certainty, I have far better QOL commuting 45 mins to ORD 3 times a month and doing (the absolute HORROR) or 3-4 day trips. I would have left if G4 had a DSM base Day 1.

Ive refrained for the last 3ish years since I left, but to any prospective new hires considering G4. You seriously SERIOUSLY need to truly understand wtf hour getting involved with. Sadly, I don’t think many truly grasp the amount of utter trash you will encounter. I left (at that time) a dying Air Wisconsin. Make no mistake. I was treated FAR better and with FAR more respect at a regional than the almighty Major Airline that is Allegiant. 🤷🏻‍♂️

You should find out in about 2-3 months. It will most likely be more than one.

These guy are young, smart, have options and nlknow what the struggle to get anything that resembles industry standard. I wish anyone who leaves the best. They owe us nothing. It is telling though cause they got the inside knowledge. Time.will tell but there is no positive news right now.

overnights at a major are nothing like at a regional too. 100 times better. Folks are scared of it because all the previous overnights being 8 hours, min rest, 5 legs a day and then run around saying overnights are bad. Once your at a major your getting 15 hours after 2 legs on the beach. Then the next day 18 hours in Alaska looking at glacier. Finally do a Hawaii overnight at 30 hours then come home. 2 legs a day maybe 3. The bigger the plane the fewer legs you fly.

Congrats on the legacy job! Your efforts getting the truth out have been appreciated. Since others have asked why, well because it's an unpleasant experience flying with all the new hires who were told they would get their base out of training and upgrade within a year or two. Most are barely making it home for more than 2-3 commute free days per month and are close to divorce, while upgrade has slowed to almost 6 years (based on the last 5 vacancy bids).

We can only speculate why the company doesn't want to offer industry standard and plans to drag this out as long as possible, which equates to many more years but for the sake of my friends and colleagues staying I hope something changes and management does the right thing for once.

Congrats Marg. I left for a legacy but I visit this forum a lot. I want to see G4 do better, but I also exercise a fair amount of energy in convincing people not to apply.
