I don’t understand, who’s “they’ll”, or which they are you referring to? Just curious. Your choice of words and few post, very managementty. We don’t normally denigrate “truckers”. I don’t have anything against those truckers. My personal opinion of truckers is very benign. Do you believe these people to be inferiors in some way? Please elaborate.

fact: everywhere is a better option than Allegiant right now… this does not mean I think we are getting a “golden” contract, or that I think Allegiant is going to be the best airline out there.

I think we have 2 options: 1. get a contract by the end of the year and it will be better than what we currently have (anything is better than what we have now) 2. We don’t, and the airline shrinks taking a fat chunk of M’s wallet with it. We have leverage right now and we’ve seen management come to the table because of it. Leverage doesn’t mean we get to dictate terms, but it means we have a say.

last time I checked teamsters is the only airline union with one of the 3 seats on the NMB… so you go enjoy your ALPA and APA, nothing against them, but I’ve got no problem with my union at G4.
M's wallet is more than just an airline, the company has many other assets and sources of revenue. And that savant knows how to utilize everything. Shrink a base, consolidate the system, operate profitable routes, no contesting, and shift cash + assets. A loss for a company oftentimes is a profit the following year or two.

Contract within a year? Leverage is hemorrhaging? When they have the ability to be flexible and shrink? Airline shrinking is not good for a lot of your pilots (many are great guys). You have a say sure, but it's dictated through your DJ and clueless inexperienced liaisons. Top quarter of the pilot group will sell out. Like blue just did. Hurts the rest of the industry's negotiations on occasion.

And NMB? Lol? That's what signifies efficiency and validity? That's representative of productivity? Boy.. how'd that work out for Atlas? No one is in anyone's pocket.. no one's being influenced or bribed. Hmm POTUS put in a DEM to that position.. Just remember, that seat isn't filled by a pilot, nor does that person always have your "union's" best interest at heart. $ I'd say this is my two more cents, but I wager it's at least .05 factoring informative and inflation.

"They" is a pronoun used clearly in response to your management comment. Enough posts can give you a feel for voice. I'll leave you with your opinion.

As for truckers, I know a few personally -good friends. And it's a term not meant to belittle, rather indicate that's the union's area of expertise being as they're the most widely represented and that's been the core of that union since inception. Also, they don't have a good track record and are littered with violent and corrupt pasts. Perhaps it's changed. Regardless, I'm merely referring to your union by their mere majority of representation. You appear to be in the minority. As to your reception, I find it odd you would even bring this up. Teamsters has been known for this for decades. Perhaps it is you who has non-benign feelings. If you were a trucker, teamsters would be a good thing; if you're a pilot at G4 say and affiliated, perhaps not so much. I believe I hear that DJ spinning again...

Even then, in this hiring environment, what moron would go to G4. Maybe a short stint at big blue or yellow (guess they'll merge and be green if I remember my kindergarten coloring book) before hopping to aforementioned real airline. Home every night biggest scam out there. What's the arbitrary value on that? Real pilots overnight (and manually manipulate thrust on approach + landing).

Not like the company will respect whatever contract is agreed upon anyway. Enjoy those grievances. Company will shrink before a contract. What's a must work day? How often your bids conveniently reset? Asking for a friend who hasn't applied. I think some real companies are hiring . God forbid you take a brief pay cut and lose some seniority. Enjoy that east coast shuttle run. Bus driver such a funny pun in this context. How's that retirement plan coming along? MG isn't dumb, guys a savant. Your expensive union is bleeding, and your head DJ is applying blood thinners. Cheers. (Laughing harder for the record)

This is extremely awkward. You came to a forum that doesn’t like this company to express that you don’t like this company but direct a sense of hostility at us, the pilots, who don’t like this company either? I guess my small “not real airline pilot brain” can’t understand but thank you for your service!!

Apparently so. Try reading again slowly and skipping abstract figurative language and jokes. The points made are clearly directed towards top 25%+ fools, and the clueless / inexperienced "union." If you had half a brain you'd likely deduce I know a pilot or two over yonder. The rest of the text dialogues are responses to others' statements. Can't believe I entertained your lack of reading comprehension.

On second thought, just bash me. I fully expect you'll miss the point of this as well. Hooked on Phonics should be a pre-req before engaging anything on here. You passed your type? Stay at G4... keep those auto throttles and automation engaged. Enjoy the job and vote to retain your DJ chair -I'm sure he has your best interest in mind (chuckles have ceased -ensue confusion and cynicism). Side note: your dues are unusually high. May want to find out which union has the weakest reps in the industry. I imagine it directly correlates to experience.

It’s Autothrust on the Airbus, not auto throttles. You say you got typed on it while you were here? What airplane are you on now?

You respond with this? Not engaging previous points? You a rep? (Laughing hard again). The Freudian slip and disdain for the bus should tell you, not that it matters. I'm merely an observer trying to leave meaningful Easter eggs for any G4 onlookers.

I suppose the slightest bit of interest also still remains as everyone is in negotiations presently and each will reference the other in some degree. First could very well be last in this case.
If you've been on property for a while, please enlighten me as to what occurred a few years back with ALPA and G4? Inform the thread. I can refresh your memory if you don't recall. Nice coffee discussion for your first leg with whomever.

Some of our new hires really could use some of that space in your head that G4 is renting for free… honestly you just sound like a chump with a grudge and an axe to grind. Bye Felicia

Disdain for the bus? I don’t know of anyone who would say they have disdain to describe it. Interesting. So, what airplane are you flying now? Would you say you do or do not have disdain for it?
