Even then, in this hiring environment, what moron would go to G4. Maybe a short stint at big blue or yellow (guess they'll merge and be green if I remember my kindergarten coloring book) before hopping to aforementioned real airline. Home every night biggest scam out there. What's the arbitrary value on that? Real pilots overnight (and manually manipulate thrust on approach + landing).

Not like the company will respect whatever contract is agreed upon anyway. Enjoy those grievances. Company will shrink before a contract. What's a must work day? How often your bids conveniently reset? Asking for a friend who hasn't applied. I think some real companies are hiring . God forbid you take a brief pay cut and lose some seniority. Enjoy that east coast shuttle run. Bus driver such a funny pun in this context. How's that retirement plan coming along? MG isn't dumb, guys a savant. Your expensive union is bleeding, and your head DJ is applying blood thinners. Cheers. (Laughing harder for the record)
For the record, I don’t think anyone in their right mind should come to G4, every where is a better option right now. Agree to disagree when it comes to the union though, they are doing a damn good job right now, and absolutely not getting blinded by the money…

now go back where you came from and wash away your tears with that sweet “real airline” paycheck of yours

Why so angry?
Lot of valid points but no need to be a douche.

Why weren’t you able to do 2 minutes of research and realized what you were getting yourself into before hand? Some of us have been telling it like it is for years on this forum.

Ah, so you agree. "Right now," certainly implies you think you'll get that golden contract and draw in everyone (or at least "pilots" chasing out and backs) to cover attrition and / or grow. What happens in the interim? You know, during that "sunset?" No pilots hired, staffing issues, and cancelled flights. I believe it's called shrinking and consolidation. Cut the fat.

Besides, if you magically did get a contract tomorrow (chuckling), you think that'll be enough to cover the hemorrhaging? That'll be enough to draw pilots away from green (refer to last post for color book) or the big boys (which yes, yes they do pay quite well and 16% direct contribution snowballs quite nicely)? I think not...

The top is where I came from I guess? And just peeking down honestly -like when you climb a mountain.. only in this metaphor there are a lot of people with frostbite and staring at an avalanche saying the sunshine will melt it. Guess I just have an urge to watch some carnage as a bunch of ostriches (birds with their head in the sand that can't fly) get trampled.

P.S. Just because your union turned down an offer, doesn't mean you'll get a bigger better one, and certainly doesn't mean they're doing a good job. A very profitable company can afford very expensive lawyers who bleed very inexperienced unions. My two cents. Avalanche looks pretty big, pull your head out !

You sure seem to put a lot of words in my mouth.

fact: everywhere is a better option than Allegiant right now… this does not mean I think we are getting a “golden” contract, or that I think Allegiant is going to be the best airline out there.

I think we have 2 options: 1. get a contract by the end of the year and it will be better than what we currently have (anything is better than what we have now) 2. We don’t, and the airline shrinks taking a fat chunk of M’s wallet with it. We have leverage right now and we’ve seen management come to the table because of it. Leverage doesn’t mean we get to dictate terms, but it means we have a say.

last time I checked teamsters is the only airline union with one of the 3 seats on the NMB… so you go enjoy your ALPA and APA, nothing against them, but I’ve got no problem with my union at G4.

Giving that person quite a bit of credit eh? I'd like to think the parallels, metaphors, and grammar + punctuation, not to mention brief pulse on the industry is a bit much for a clueless F A no? Suppose that person could pay someone to speak for them, but even that would take half a brain. Besides, it ain't Friday ; ) and she's the biggest moron of all. One sympathizes when watching two dumb parties collide. Merger incoming? Big pay raises coming? Profit sharing? Wonderful proposal coming soon I'm sure. Tell that trucker union to remember what inflation is. Best wishes. Sincerely hope for a great contract, though not optimistic.
