downgrades, displacements etc from those 30-40% will cause another 30-40% to go… and that’s how we end up at 500 pilots. Look at how few of the furloughed pilots remain…

Most attrition is in the bottom 20% of the list I doubt more than a handful above that would leave unless their base closed. A significant proportion of Allegiant pilots are ready to sell us all short for the illusion of securing a future with day trips.

2.5% of the 12% attrition last year was pilots with a hire date of 2015 and earlier.

40% definitely ain’t leaving. We’re all going to American or wherever to be the bottom of a 15000 pilot list with a looming recession to start at $85/hr doing reserve on multiple day trips out of JFK? I don’t think so. This contract is bad but most ppl that have 2-3 years in live in base and are making $150K or more. Like someone else said if they start closing bases and downgrading the attrition will definitely spike up.

I know 4-5 guys that have been at Allegaint 6+ years that are jumping ship. Great captains and I’m sad to see them go due to managements shenanigans.

KC as you know Large percentage of folks here are focused on next month’s home-every-night schedule & aren’t looking long-term. I’m regularly talking to guys 35-40 years-old and they just want the union to not do anything to upset their small base/day trip life. Like that’s really secure for another quarter century anyway?; but yeah pass up legacy CA in 2-3 years or widebody FO home nearly every night. Might have to update the logbook to do that…..

Okay I guess if you can't plan past 1 year. DAL and UAL both have 1 year upgrades and not only in coastal bases, ATL, Denver etc. Year 2 CA pay will be $309 at DAL with 17% DC, throw in a little PS and a green slip or 2 and you're well over 400,000 total comp year 2. UAL and AA will have TA's soon and AA upgrade times are falling quickly.
There are too many pilots here who love the home every night and are praying for a miracle who also haven’t touched their logbook in 5 years or more. In their defense if they stick around hoping for a miracle they lose seniority but for the reasons you mentioned above even getting hired by United a year from now isn’t the end of the world. Plenty of pie for everybody. That’s just how it is these days. Seems like more people are confused than ever about what to do after the latest CEO message.

I am personally still in shock in how out of touch G4 management is. The recent final proposal by them is insulting considering the incredible opportunities right in front of all of us at historically the best places to be a pilot. I get the lifestyle difference.. I really do. But 20 days off flying to some of the coolest places around the world in a widebody getting paid very respectfully while having top benefits doesn’t sound bad. I have friends doing this with less than 3 years of seniority. Don’t want to fly widebodys? Bid a narrow body. Don’t want to work a lot? Bid widebody reserve in base. Want to be home every night? Be an instructor. Also crew meals, limo service and Marriot or better hotels doesn’t sound bad either. Have young kids at home? Recharge your batteries on the road. Also bring home the self worth your company gives you and make your kids proud. It’s all what you make of it just as management has made it so at Allegiant. This place could have been great.
