Cabotage would shut down the country - pilots from ALPA carriers feel free to chime in….not happening.

Yea i'm sure ALPA and their army of lobbyists won't fight back on that at all.

I'm not negotiating in public. But you can take it that its better than now, but worse than all other carriers are. It is a Dog-S#@t sandwich, and a slap in the face. It will not be voted on, and will cause bigger problems for them. They are just stalling until they can get approval from the DOT to hand our domestic flying to Viva. Once that door opens (this company may bribe their way to a DOT approval) all of our careers are over.

i would think AR would want to take the high road, show the NMB how unreasonable management is as opposed to getting into a tit for tat with them. we should be seen as the professional party - unfortunately the teamsters don't necessarily have that reputation as a professional buttoned up pilots union. maybe the NMB doesn't care at all about all this, what do i know. but i hope AR talks to somebody who is plugged in with the NMB and how they think about this stuff before he does something as drastic as refusing to meet for seciton 6 negotiations.

terminating negotiations during section 6 is not something that should be done flippantly. i hope AR knows what he's doing and at least consulted with somebody who knows how the NMB thinks before he refuses to negotiate.

I think we need fresh eyes at the negotiating table, I see several issues with the current committee outside of the current impasse.
1)The pilots never elected or selected them.
2)We’ve never seen their resumes, nor do any of them have relevant experience that any of us can point to.
3)We lack an effective/experienced legal team with airline CBA experience.
4)We haven’t dipped into the assessment fund that was supposed to be used for negotiations.
5)Things have become too personal on both sides.
We need a closer with the proper experience, it’s time to send in someone to break the stalemate and get things done.
