I talked to my "guy" in management. Looks like your source was semi-correct. The company put together a pass that included an unstack and staffing model. (Assuming it is going to be passed to the union today since they are supposed to be meeting.) Where he was not as accurate is that the unstacking proposed was "more than double" delta's unstacking. My guy wouldn't be more specific than that. For those playing at home, delta can unstack 30% which means the company proposal is somewhere between 61-99%. The staffing model from what I was told was a straight per-aircraft pilot count that would be lower than the number of pilots we are staffing to currently. The point of a staffing model is to account for all of the known absences (and unknown absences). More than 60% is ridiculous, especially if they plan to lower the pilot count per plane. Hopefully, this is the first salvo in working towards a happy medium. We should be fighting over LTD, etc not the last 10% either way on the stack %.
I was not saying that a TAFB was important. I was saying that the company refuses to agree to any percentage of day trips. None. They want the flexibility to do what they want. I was just saying that the company has also balked at TAFB pointing to the fact that we're a "day-trip" airline. Can't have it both ways. Either commit to day trips or stop using it as an excuse to offer less everywhere else.

Not sure that my source was incorrect - I understood him to mean that the unstack was worse than Delta's without any other context. apparently this was in the hail mary pass by management last week right before the new year. i didn't know that there were negotiations today so cannot comment on that. I agree with you again here that LTD has to be in this contract or else it will never get voted in.
This is key. Management has to put their money where their mouth is and put it in writing. i've voiced my thoughts on management and scheduling trying to run this like a typical airline with 4-5 day trips and that it would be a complete cluster f*ck. we'd look like southwest every march and every summer, and probably two other times each year. the entire operation would melt down at least once per quarter. they can barely run a mediocre operation with the easiest scheduling model in the industry. so just put it in writing and guarantee the day trips - this is an absolute deal breaker for me.

I'll cross my fingers that they agree to some level of day trips. You do the same. Maybe it will all work out.

Looks like it’ll be contract 2025/6 for sure now folks! Get ready to start hearing from all the other employee groups that the greedy pilots are ruining the airline…..and you’ll of course have the weak sister pilots who turn their back on the union & demand we be allowed to vote….2023 figures to be a barrel of laughs at Allegiant!

I'm not negotiating in public. But you can take it that its better than now, but worse than all other carriers are. It is a Dog-S#@t sandwich, and a slap in the face. It will not be voted on, and will cause bigger problems for them. They are just stalling until they can get approval from the DOT to hand our domestic flying to Viva. Once that door opens (this company may bribe their way to a DOT approval) all of our careers are over.

I am sure that you are correct. However, the company trying find a way to get them to do our flying is delaying our new contract. And after congress attached the Boeing approval to the spending bill I don't trust anything to stay sacred.
