Do you guys really have only day trips? Or what’s the percentage of day trips to actual overnight trips

100% of scheduled revenue flights are day trips with duty times from 4-11.5 hours.

There are a sometimes significant, but usually insignificant number of charter trips. About half of these are overnight or 3 day trips (often times the third day is just arriving after 2 am). It may vary by base. Seems LAS, IWA, SFB and CVG get a lot of them (others may too, not sure). You’re more likely to get these on composite or reserve. They’re not always scheduled far enough ahead of time to be part of the line bidding.

of course weather, mx, etc happen so it is possible to overnight. But chances are it’s once in a blue moon unless you purposefully go after these trips from open time or are on reserve. Good example, TYS LAS timed out en route and they need someone from LAS to fly the return flight, overnight and DH back the next day. Or fly the redeye, and then dh back without any rest 😳 on an over 16 hour duty day.
