Yes. That's what I'm implying. Too many in the right fringe are unable to talk about anything other than their views and their displeasure with the world these days. And I'm like jeez dude can we just talk about fishing or football or maybe just st*u?

Austin would have been popular a few years ago before there were bidding wars for $1m tract homes with super high property taxes.

Absolutely. Austin base 5 years ago? Much better. Nonetheless, the flying outta there will actually be descent. That traffic too tho

Would it be a long wait to be able to hold BNA?

Looks like it could be a while. Quick glance of our standing bids shows 4 FOs in other bases trying to get into BNA and 2 FOs in BNA trying to get out (to TYS). There are 4 captain upgrades being offered in BNA in October's vacancy so this may make some movement in BNA assuming the most senior FO(s) in BNA snag a BNA upgrade, however since the FOs in BNA are not as senior as FOs in other bases (to have seniority for upgrades) it is more likely that outsiders will take those most if not all of those 4 upgrades. BNA will have to grow to generate some additional movement.

October's vacancy has 3 FO vacancies for LAX. Looks like 2 from LAS are trying to get to LAX with no one leaving LAX, leaving one additional spot, however, this data does not include what the latest class of pilots is bidding for. For all I know everyone in that class might want LAX (I highly doubt that, tho). I expect more FO vacancies for LAX in the November bid (with April effective dates) as well as future vacancies since this base is very large in the summer compared to how it is now. Your chances of getting in pretty quick are good, and a commute to LAS wouldn't be too bad while you wait.

We'll know more when October's vacancy is published on Oct 20th. Might know a bit more when the standing bids are updated in a few days to include all the pilots that started last Monday. But my best guess is that you can expect numerous positions in ATW, LAS, IWA, FNT, AUS, IND, DSM, CVG, and ABE.

The bases that have been trending more difficult to get for new hires have been GRR, TYS, PIT, and most of Florida. Other bases like SAV, AVL, VPS, LAX and BLI are harder to guess. It really all depends on who chooses to upgrade in ATW and FNT and other bases with this latest round of upgrades. Right now hardly anyone has updated their bid card.

Much appreciated, looking like I’ll be starting in the late October or early November class. When do new hire classes typically receive their bids? Is it common to skip bases by the end of training?
