The august vacancy was just awarded. Vacancies that will be offered to the next class are:
LAS 8
IWA 7
DSM 4
ABE 2
BLI/IND/GRR 1 each
Going to be very difficult to hold TYS or anywhere in Florida for the new hires. The other bases not listed above are probably possible fairly soon during training or shortly after. LAS and VPS may not have vacancies for the next two or three vacancies but should then be widely available.

It is a combination of things. IWA was stagnant for a long time because they sight lay over staffed the FOs when OAK closed. We also had several guys that got downgraded during upgrade during COVId back into IWA. Now it looks like we are gearing up to add an airplane and several FOs and junior captains have gotten tired of the stagnation and moved to other bases. I don’t expect the upward trend to continue.

You will definitely be able to hold LAS as there were something like 15 vacancies offered there to recent classes. Something like 12 of those spots are held by people trying to bid elsewhere so you’ll be fine. It’s very junior on the junior end of the list. Polar opposite of FL/TYS.

the Aug 30 class took the remaining 20 vacancies from our last vacancy bid. The next class as well as the class after will bid from the leftovers from our September bid which is out right now and will likely be more of the same and the addition of 12-13 positions in FNT. Unlikely there will be any Florida vacancies.
