there won’t be any news until it’s announced officially. The company no longer pre announces bases to its pilots like they used to. Probably since the new ones are so bad it would hurt recruitment.

There's been some talk that the domicile won't happen till the terminal is built. Since construction hasn't begun, it'll be a while.

Hasn’t begun? I fly out of JQF regularly and have seen Allegiant flights parked at the terminal… is there plans for a new one?

Yeah, the plan is to put a real terminal on the opposite side of the runway.

I can't think of a worse place for us to have a base. Short, narrow single runway that has significant weather restrictions for our operation. Busy airspace next to a major airport. Huge obstacles surrounding the airport. Tons of GA traffic, including at least 1 flight school. That airport is a crap show on a good day.

I'm betting Vegas looked at the numbers and a map and said it would be a good base, with no consideration to what our operation there is already like. I'm kind of glad for once, that it seems the bean counters got voted down.

Never suggested it was a good spot to operate… just want a short commute!

I've heard American is hiring. Eagle is probably back to direct entry captains by now.
