"Truth" is a stretch... But I agree, living 85-90 minutes away for any length of time seems like a terrible idea. Counting on that stretch of I-95 being clear 12-15 times a month for an exact show time will probably not work out well.

If you really want to work here, I would wait until we open a JAX base or be ready to move to one of our current bases.

Honestly you probably wont get used that much on reserve in SAV and you are within a 90 minute drive. Very few callouts ever give you just 90 minutes.

I apparently need to be in the base that you guys are in. Almost every callout for me is 90 minutes. Maybe that’s because I bid AM’s, but it’s rare for me if it’s anything other than 90. My record is 10 - 90 minute callouts in a 12 day stretch. It is very rare that I get called that much, but it does happen.

I truly do not see anything in my earlier post insinuate rule-bending by anymeans. Everything stipulated is up to par & in conjunction with the current rules in place.

Yes, living close to base is a no-brainer and everyone does the best they can.

The post was aimed more towards mitigating the constant negation & discouraging at face value, by a selected few...for the potential newhires & the folks in general considering Allegiant as a career. Constant propagating of everything analyzed through a red-lens is also a disservice. No need to spread the sunshine here like the company condones, but at the very least not spew perpetual doom & gloom as that's simply not true!

Applicants deserve to hear all sides of the story. The good bad and ugly.

If the company has no problem signing up newhires they have no motivation to follow our current contract negotiate a new one or improve QOL here. If they can't get people to work here they will change their ways because it will make economic sense to. Think about that for a minute. Let it sink in before you respond.
