Interview odds

If you only have 2,000 TT, yours odds are about zero. If you have that much part 135 from a recognizable 135 operator, with at lest that much more total time, then you are getting into the ballpark. Are you at a disadvantage with no 121 time? Yes, but there are a bunch of us here that don’t have any prior 121. So, it is not a deal breaker.

It’s hard to say who will be applying this round since we haven’t hired in so long. At times those times would have been very competitive. Other times that would not even gotten your resume noticed. Good luck to you.

Post contract, I recommended an F-15 guy with a PHD, and he was working at a regional to build 121 time. He had about 500 hours 121 time. I was told from someone in the hiring team to tell him to update his information when he was getting closer the 1,000 mark. He’s at American now.
They wanted the 121 time for quick upgrades. In hindsight it wasn’t an issue for any of us.

Should be interesting to see who gets called this round. I updated my info again, hoping to get noticed this time around. Would be nice as the boss just told me last week that the airplane is being sold. Good luck to all who apply this round.
