VPS base?
Hello APC,
I see folks mentioning VPS being a base on here. I have my apps in with the legacy carriers, but Allegiant would be a great alternative from what I hear about the QoL. Could you confirm that there is definitely a VPS base? The FAQ pdf from their pilot hiring website does not list VPS as a crew base. Maybe they haven't updated it yet?

VPS is one of the junior bases. The plug CA is a 12/2015 hire. It’s a very seasonal base so the bottom 2 or 3 CAs and FOs get sent out on TDY during the low season months of Dec Jan and Feb. A new terminal is being built in the next 2-3 years so the base will double in size. Hopefully this will bring some more steady flying to the base even during the slow months. The summer months are super busy with many pilots being needed from other bases. The flying is pretty efficient although there are some unpopular unproductive 4 sector days. Once the hiring resumes which is the big unknown it should be attainable fairly quickly out of training.
