Although the first vacancies will not be published until next month, it seems clear that no fo’s on the property today are bidding the 737 when looking at our bid sheet. There are numerous captains interested though.
One correction to a previous post, it’s an equipment lock not a seat lock. You should plan on being in SFB (or maybe PIE a few months later) for 2 years.
The company can waive this requirement should they choose to.

When the current contract was signed, was there any projection at that time that the company might add another fleet type? I assume the pay scale is the same, right?

Just curious: why would they? What incentive is there, even if you already live in that Florida base? Better/different trip pairings, eventually?

When the 2016 cba was signed we had 3 fleets on property, 757/MD80/Bus so adding more seemed unlikely but the contract just says union/company will negotiated new rates and if they can't agree the arbitrator will decide.

So what does that mean for those pilots who start on, or move to, the B737 before its new pay rates are negotiated/arbitrated? Does that give the company the freedom to start them at the new pay rates that have been established by the "retention bonus" accrual? (awkward...) Or does the CBA limit them to the current CBA Airbus NB pay rates until the CBA is amended with a new contract? I assume the latter.

How Junior is the Provo base? Provo is Junior, so it would likely get it right away or in a few months. This is always changing since there is always the chance everyone that is there wants to be there then movement can stop from time to time. This is true for about any base allegiant especially smaller bases.
What kind of flight time can a junior reserve pilot get? The is all over the map from base to base and month to month. It is rare for reserve pilots to fly more than Min guarantee.
How long till you can hold a line? This can also be all over. In a Junior base, it can be fast but again depends on the movement above you.
Any chance to pick up extra trips? Reserve can pick up open trips on days off, which pays above the min guarantee. I would not plan on that working out very much.

Thank you, makes sense.
