Allegiant Bases

I would say most bases are possible at or soon after class. The problem is that you will be a Junior reserve pilot for a long time on some bases. Upgrade in some bases could be 20 years more at the current rate of decay. In Vegas, Spirit, Avelo, SW, and United all would be better.

How long, hard to tell will depend a lot on how many go to SWA, Spirit, UA, Avelo. It is fairly senior base. Reserve can at times be ok on slower months. First officer is short staffed so probably flying a lot. The biggest QOL thing on RES is they can pretty much change everything. They will move your days off, They will change you from one RES time slot to another on any given day. Maybe not in Vegas but some bases are getting sent out via deadhead to other bases to fly. RES will always be Min days off. They can take that down to 10 days I believe 3 months a year.

I’ve looked through the past few pages and threads, but I couldn’t find it… Does anyone know how long is the wait right now to get FLL base as an FO? And what are the most junior bases right now? A huge thank you to anyone who can help!

A few new hires from the June 12th class were awarded FLL but the first 737 vacancies should start dropping next month. The FO side will most likely go to mostly new hires and there is a 2 year equipment lock. With that said it could take a couple years for FLL since 737 will be SFB then PIE.

as for FLL being a 737 base? I have no idea at this point, management probably doesn’t know yet either.

Basically, if you aren’t willing and able to move to whatever base you get, you probably ought to NOT be looking at Allegiant. That’s not putting Allegiant down in any way, that’s just what the business model supports. Commuting three hours to or from a four day trip is merely annoying. Doing the same for turns or even overnighter is a different order of ugly.
