it’s a summer seasonal base, unlikely you’d be able to hold it until next May as there will be no vacancies this time of year and they will let the base shrink thru attrition as there are no flights in the winter.

a new hire was awarded sav in January 2023. Really depends on what’s going on when you’re hired. plan on 6-12 months being based elsewhere.

There has been 1 vacancy in each of the last two bids, those vacancies were not awarded to new hires but were awarded to almost new hires, so basically 6 months to hold it as an FO. It's not a particularly senior base overall, but it's not one of the consistently junior ones either. It's a little less senior than average I would say.

There is zero talk of new bases right now because we can’t staff what we have currently. If they decide to give us a contract and are able to start growing again, I’m sure they’ll go back to opening more small bases. NORCAL wouldn’t be on the short list of places I’d expect though.

There was an OAK base that closed several years ago I would say Portland, OR would possibly be a future base at some point but Norcal near zero chance.

And it’s near-impossible to commute here just in case that was a thought…
