That’s the info I needed, really appreciate it! At 37 and not looking to move, I think I keep with the 91/135 world.

I would check back in a year or so. If we get a contract in the near future it’s possible we are able to grow in CVG (highly speculative that it happens but it’s possible).

Frontier might have a CVG base but that’s just a guess. I remember them adding a bunch of gates a few years back.

If even half the people who claim they’re “done” & updating logbooks & putting out apps are telling the truth, then these discussions are pointless; this place won’t be recognizable in a year.

I think this is something a lot on the outside don't realize about Allegiant. This is a very young pilot group with very few annual retirements. The top 25%~ of pilots aren't leaving the company and unlikely to switch bases. The senior FOs fall under them waiting to upgrade in their chosen base. There is very little upward movement. A new hire will rise to a certain level around 60% after the first 2-3 years due to junior attrition, then if they stay they will stop moving up. Remember that in some bases reserve goes as high as 40% from the bottom normally. Seasonal bases are higher off season. You're agreeing to perma-reserve if you're junior in an established base. Reserve here is a sentence of hard labor in the gulag.

The base structure creates a bunch of silos where you can only improve your seniority by deaths/retirements/attrition or by changing to a less popular base and staying there. It's not like a normal airline where you keep moving up until you retire. So you really can't count on being a captain in a particular base because they may have already filled every captain in that base and they all have 20+ years left.

I think a lot of people say they're leaving then pass when they get the opportunity. Just like you can't find anyone who voted yes for the contract.

I also think a lot of people you'd never expect to leave will/are/have left because they're fed up with the BS here, have no faith in the union to actually improve things, and are too old to miss the last lifeboat they'll get in their career.

Right now, even if you have seniority at Allegiant, the upside of leaving is too good with legacy Airbus upgrades running 1-3 years.

Which bases are you able to hold a line the quickest? Can you hold one in LAS quickly?

This changes all the time also, at time it can take years to get off reserve and then it can move quickly. Nothing moving really at all. some shuffling on the FO side as base for choice. Right now the only way to move up is for those in front leave to another carrier. Its hard to guess which base that will happen in at any given time. With UA Base opening in Vegas probably a better chance that FO's will be trying to jump from there.

it could be 3 months, it could be 12 months, it could close before you finish training. This is not the place to be right now, go somewhere else, anywhere else. EWR is a much better option with UA, you’ll be home plenty and make way more money without all the risks and ridiculousness of this dumpster fire.
