Again, as others have said..commuting should be a short-term plan to ultimately move to an Allegiant Base, there are plenty to choose from.

If the announcement of LAS and MCO by UAL, as well as the details of NK AIP coming out Friday… if that doesn’t light a fire under MG’s tail to get a contract done soon, there won’t be any expansion anywhere. Out of the 8 people in my class, a few have apps out elsewhere still, and a few are retired military guys with a pension that want to fly and be home every night. Even my old regional came out with a pay raise that is double first year pay here, and is willing to give me my seniority number back if I return to property in the next 12 months… it has me contemplating my decision because my QOL there wasn’t bad. I’ll stick it out here to at least finish IOE and consolidate, but if we don’t have pay by then I might regress back to the high paying regionals until a higher paying, better opportunity presents itself, and that shouldn’t take long with todays hiring.

As someone in training currently and trying to get BNA since I live just east… it was explained to me that no expansion will be there until the new terminal is done. Reference the MNAA and BNA website for the timeline. When it’s done I was told they want 7-8 planes there, and adding one plane roughly every 6 months if we were able to staff it. Take it for what it’s worth.

But don't go back to the regionals. Hit a meet and greet and get on at a legacy or a major of your choice. I couldn't get anyone to talk to me while at my previous regional, got the A320 type and a few hours in it and then hit a meet and greet. I then got interviews everywhere. Sure it's an extra two or three months until you do the full apply/interview/wait for class date over having a regional throw you in their next class, but IMO it's worth it.

I haven't seen a CVG upgrade offered, at all, in years.

Looks like the bottom FO in CVG is a February hire, there is one waiting.
Looks like the bottom Captain is a 2015 hire.

And to add, it could be 20 years before that February hire can bud to be a CVG CA.

That's probably not to far off, maybe a little too optimistic. There are only 14 captains in IND and about double that in CVG. The average age of the 1,130 list is around 42. With no plans for additional planes in those bases you'd have to wait for retirements, medical outs, terminations or attrition.
